Can I later employ staff?

Yes. Once established as an autónomo in Spain and holding a valid residence permit, you can hire Spanish or properly authorized foreign workers using the standard Cuenta Ajena route as the employer. You must register as an employer with the Social Security system before hiring your first employee.

Is the Cuenta Propia visa linked to a specific business activity?

Yes. Your initial permit is tied to the specific business activity described in your approved *Proyecto de Establecimiento*.
