Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work for other companies in Sweden?
No. The ICT permit is strictly limited to the specific group companies identified in your application.
What is 'Intra-EU Mobility' for ICTs?
An ICT permit from Sweden allows you to work in other EU member states for branches of the same group for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a new permit.
Does this lead to Permanent Residence?
Generally no. ICT permits are considered temporary assignments. To get PR, you would likely need to switch to a regular work permit (which is possible if you secure a local Swedish contract).
Can I bring my family?
Yes. Spouses and children can accompany you for the duration of the transfer and have work rights.
What happens after the 3 years?
You must leave the EU for at least 90 days before you can apply for a new ICT permit, or switch to a different residence permit category from within Sweden if eligible.
