Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work full-time on the PVT in France?
Yes. Unlike some other working holiday programs with strict hour or employer caps, the French PVT grants you the right to work full-time (35h/week) for the entire 12-month duration with virtually any employer.
Can I convert the PVT into a standard Talent Visa or Work Permit?
Generally, no. The overarching rule of the French PVT is its strict incompatibility with status changes (*changement de statut*) from within France. To pivot to an EU Blue Card or Tech Visa, you usually must return to your home country and file a fresh initial application from the respective consulate.
Do I need to visit the OFII upon arrival?
No. The PVT visa itself acts as your residence permit (VLS-TS). You do not need to validate it via the ANEF portal online or attend the standard OFII medical/integration visit upon arrival.
